Use a lemon wedge to wet the rim of a tall glass. Sprinkle sugar on a small plate or rimming dish. Dip the glass rim in lemon sugar. Set aside to dry. Retain unused sugar for later use.
In a cocktail shaker, mix bourbon, black tea, and sour mix with ice.
Shake well, strain into prepared glass over fresh ice.
Garnish with a dried lemon slice.
Note: for the non-alcohol version, omit bourbon, increase tea to 4 oz, or to taste.
